What We Work Toward Every Day
1. Enhance Foster Family Recruitment
Angels Foster Family Network’s success is limited only by our ability to recruit and train qualified foster families. Currently San Diego County faces a crisis-level shortage, and sadly Angels is not able to place all of the children for which the county requests assistance. Angels seeks to certify more qualified foster parents, with the goal that one day no child will ever be turned away because we lack a family to care for them.
2. Funding, Grants and Donations
The Angels Foster Family Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency that relies on grants and donations from generous corporations, foundations and individuals. It costs approximately $6,000 to keep one baby with a loving family for a year. As our annual budget grows, we are able to serve more families, infants, and toddlers.
3. Build Public Awareness – Angels Everywhere
Angels Foster Family Network must continue to increase awareness of the foster care crisis facing San Diego’s infants and toddlers. Angels is an innovative model for providing the highest level of care at the earliest stage of development.
