20 Mar Paul and Nancy
Paul, Nancy, Nathan (age 16), Katelyn (age 15), and James (age 14) joined the Angels family two years ago. This is their story:
“We started fostering after providing childcare in our home for a year. We loved having a baby around the house so much, we wanted to do it again, without the forever commitment of adoption since we already had three kids of our own. We found Angels through a friend, and the idea really hit us head on. We love babies, and foster babies desperately need love. What a huge difference we could make for a child in need while fulfilling our desire for a baby – a win/win situation to be sure!
“The first placement we had was a little red headed, six week old boy who stayed with us for about 10 months until he found his forever family. He was such a sweetheart! Everyone we know loved him and still asks how he is doing. We still miss him, but his new family stays in touch with us. We feel so blessed to get to see him occasionally.
Most recently, we had a placement of a wonderful little boy whose mother was incarcerated. We were able to take him home from the hospital and were blessed to have him in our lives for about six months until he went to live with a family member. I do not know if we will hear from them again, but he, along with the others, will remain in our hearts and prayers all their lives.
“We do not currently have a baby in our home, but expect we will once again by the end of summer! What a joy!”
