Get ready for an evening of spooktacular fun at the Inaugural Pickle "Boo" Charity Bash. We're brewing up a cauldron of entertainment, and here's what you need to know:

Parking

  • The Bobby Riggs parking lot fills up fast, so the easiest parking for our event is at Venture Church, 777 Santa Fe Dr., Encinitas, CA 92024. We have reserved the back corner of their lot (in green) behind the church.

  • Additional street parking is available on Santa Fe Dr. and the street behind Bobby Riggs on Munevar Rd.

Check-In

  • Check-in from 4:30PM to 5PM – for court assignments (have a drink and warm-up). Look for the Angels table at the entrance to the courts.

  • Tennis shoes are required for court play.

Ladder Format

  • Initial court assignments will be based on stated skill level, but it will be a mixed ladder format, whereby you switch partners each game - winners go up a court (then split up) losers go down a court (and split up). Gradually the best players end up making their way to the top of the ladder.

Halloween Costumes

  • Dress up only if you dare, and you might win a Civile attire prize in our costume contest!

Food and Drink

  • Taco dinner will be available on the top deck.

  • Fierce & Kind will be crafting refreshing cocktails.

  • We will also have a nice selection of beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages.

Treats

  • Be sure to stop by the Angels table at the conclusion of the event, and grab a special Halloween treat to sweeten your night even more.

Timeline

  • 4:30 – 5:00: Arrival and check-in

  • 5:00 – 5:15: Court warm-ups and intro

  • 5:15 – 6:30: Ladder games (8-10-minute timed games)

  • 6:00: Food service begins upper deck

  • 6:30: Semi / finals games

  • 7:00: Best costume awards and Angels presentation

  • 7:15: Medals ceremony

  • 8:00: Event concludes
