Staffing Changes

Ashley, Meaghan, Meredith, and Kaitlyn are looking forward to collaborating as a leadership team. They are confident in the skills and passion of the Angels’ team and are excited to utilize their rich individual and collective experiences to support the agency’s growth and development.

Ashley Rambeau, LCSW; MS
Clinical Program Director

Ashley joined Angels in 2017 as a Senior Home Study Evaluator. In 2018 she took on the role as Home Study Supervisor and now is transitioning to Clinical Program Director.

“I am both excited and grateful to utilize my experience and education in the role of Clinical Program Director. I feel deeply aligned with Angels’ mission, intention in this work, and our impact in our community. My passion population has always been young children who have experienced significant adversity and it truly takes a village to care for and support these young children and their families. I value the pivotal role that each and every one of our village members play -- from our Resource Families to our team members, board members, and community partners – we are the village, and I am deeply grateful for each of you and honored to lead the clinical program.“

Ashley earned a bachelor’s degree with majors in Psychology and Gender Studies from Pacific Lutheran University. She went on to obtain a master’s degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and a Master of Science degree in Child Development from Erikson Institute, with specializations in infancy and treatment with children and families. Ashley has post-graduate training in the sequelae of trauma, the short and long-term effects of substance exposure in utero, various trauma treatment models, clinical issues in foster care and adoption, and mindfulness. She has more than twelve years of experience working with children and families involved in the child welfare system.

Ashley became a Reiki Master (energy healing) and loves hiking, exploring nature, taking her dogs to the beach, reading, exercising (strength training, yoga, and Qi Gong), and listening to music (bonus if it’s LIVE conscious Rap).

Meaghan O’Connor, LCSW
Administrative Program Director

Joining Angels in 2013 as a Clinical Case Manager and working her way up to Supervisor in 2017, Meaghan has been promoted to Administrative Program Director. She will be overseeing the administrative side of the program and ensuring that the agency is compliant with all applicable policies, licensing regulations, and laws.

“In my new role, I am super excited to dive into the 'behind the scenes' work that will allow the rest of the program staff to focus all of their talents and energy on helping support our incredible Resource Families and the children in their care.”

Meaghan has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Diego State University and a master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University. She earned her license as a clinical social worker in 2016. In her spare time, Meaghan enjoys family time with her husband, 4-year-old daughter, and pug named Walter.

Meredith Mauzé, LMFT
Clinical Case Manager Supervisor

Joining Angels in 2014 as a Clinical Case Manager (CCM), Meredith Mauzé has been promoted to Clinical Case Manager Supervisor. In her new role, she will oversee the Clinical Case Management team, providing administrative and clinical supervision.

“I am excited to bring the knowledge and experience I’ve gained as a CCM for the past seven and a half years into a leadership role. I’m happy I will still be able to facilitate trainings and support groups for Angels’ families. I remain committed to working to combat racial inequity in the child welfare system and learning how to best support BIPOC and LGBTQ+ children in care.

“One of my favorite parts of case managing at Angels is seeing the way Resource Families navigate the fostering process and how they build relationships with the families of the children in their care. We all know this work isn’t easy, but seeing children grow and thrive, and families heal and come together has been continuously rewarding.”

Meredith first attended Palomar Community College in San Marcos before transferring to California State University Los Angeles, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In 2011, she earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Southern California. In her free time, Meredith enjoys practicing yoga, reading, and spending time with her family and her adopted dog, Lainey (named after Elaine from Seinfeld).

Kaitlyn Nelson, LCSW
SAFE Home Study Supervisor

Joining Angels in 2015 as a Clinical Case Manager and then moving into the role of SAFE Home Study Evaluator in 2019, Kaitlyn has been promoted to SAFE Home Study Supervisor. In her new role she will oversee families who are applying to become Resource Parents at Angels and supervise the Home Study team.

“In my role, I am excited to support my team as they set our new families up for success during the home study process. Finding resources and tools for families who wish to foster is something I am very passionate about. I remain committed to combating racial inequity in the child welfare system and learning how to help families navigate transracial parenting and/or care for LGBTQ+ children."

Kaitlyn has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Communication Studies from California State University, Long Beach, and a master's degree in Social Work from San Diego State University. She earned her license as a clinical social worker in 2017. In her spare time, she enjoys teaching yoga, watching sunsets, traveling, and spending time with her husband, German Shepherd, and two cats.
